The term "SOLIDARITY" is the sentiment of humankind's togetherness.

Considering the diversity of individuals and cultures worldwide; and the people's potential to live in harmony is influenced by these complexities. We the peoples, have a wide range of customs and beliefs. Social solidarity highlights our interconnectedness in a society.

Every year on December 20th, people observe International Human Solidarity Day to honour the ideal of harmony in diversity. The focus of this day is on ending poverty in society, highlighting the United Nations's objective to accomplish this.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development aspires to lessen impoverishment in all of its aspects worldwide, and the celebration of the day is indeed a big move in that direction. As poverty has grown to be a significant issue for individuals everywhere, this day serves as a prompt to all residents to be increasingly cautious with their food and not to trash any food at all.

Th observance aims to encourage social responsibility among iindividuals and to enhance partnerships between institutions and the communities which are struggling to have a normal life.

The occasion serves as a wake-up call to governments, members of civil society, and other institutions to address and abolish poverty through a concerted effort to bring in a time of social equality, dignity, and justice. In order to combat the issues caused by rising inequalities, the United Nations considers that fostering global solidarity is important.
